    Our client is a family owned and operated warehousing and distribution business based in the major cities of Australia. They are well known for supporting local business both small and large and providing tailored business solutions to assist their customers.

    About the Role
    As a highly experienced Technical Sales Professional you will manage an existing portfolio of clients and further build your customer base through networking and business development. You will assist your customers in making informed purchases as the National Print expert, following through the sales process including demonstrations of the product.

    This is a unique opportunity working with a market leader and what will set you apart is your proven consultative sales approach, passion for technology and innovation with excellent negotiation and product knowledge.

    Key responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing major national Print accounts and grow the Print sales portfolio
  • Use your technical expert knowledge to ensure sales growth for the Print category specifically in relation to Canon LFP and 3D portfolio
  • Key Liaison between suppliers and internal sales team to influence growth
  • Being a product specialist and facilitating product training and demonstrations for customers (i.e. resellers) and internal sales staff
  • Meeting monthly sales/growth targets for the portfolio
  • Weekly customer site visits, product demonstrations and Skype meetings
  • Keeping abreast of relevant market activity incl. technological advancements, client prospects, competitor pricing etc.
  • Inventory management

  • To be successful for this role you must have the following:
  • 3-5 years proven sales and account management experience
  • Exposure to working within a distribution environment
  • Previous responsibility for a budget of circa $5m
  • Experience selling technology (or technical) based products and services - ideally in a B2B capacity
  • Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with previous training and/product demonstration experience
  • Genuine hunger and drive to generate sales and influence growth on a large scale
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Outstanding account management and customer service skills
  • Australian driver licence
  • Experience with Printer or related products is highly advantageous
