  • The Role

    A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Fitter to join the Programmed Industrial Maintenance team based in Penrith and any off site work will depart daily from the Penrith workshop.

    Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements
  • Adhering to all quality control procedures
  • Performing scheduled and un-scheduled mechanical maintenance activities
  • Service and Preventative/ Reactive Maintenance
  • Repairing various fixed plant equipment including conveyors, pumps, gearboxs and shredders
  • Basic welding and fabrication

  • Skills, Experience and Attributes

    The ideal candidate will possess the following;

  • Must be have Australian trade papers for Fitter-machinist
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Experience in maintenance & fault finding activities
  • Welding and fabrication skills in a processing environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Your own transport (Essential)
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion.

  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction is delivered to the client.
  • A pro-active approach to resolving issues and excellent attention to detail.
  • An excellent communicator with good written and verbal skills.
  • Highly regarded but not essential

  • Familiarity with Permit to Work systems
  • An LF Forklift licence
  • Working at Heights and Confined Spaces tickets
