Management Accountant

Reporting to the Business Performance Superintendent, you will be responsible for driving the month end, forecasting, annual business plan and capital management processes. You will assist in site cost management, variance analysis and reporting, as well as liaising with our Brisbane Corporate Office in regard to accounting and related issues.

You will utilise your extensive knowledge and understanding of management accounting principles (ideally within a mining or resources industry) to deliver on cost analysis and management strategies for both operational and capital expenditure. You will also demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills to deliver financial information to non-financial audiences.

The successful applicant will have strong commercial acumen, be customer focused and possess well-developed, analytical problem solving skills. You will also hold relevant tertiary qualifications in business and/or commerce, be CA/CPA qualified (or near completion) and have a minimum of three years commercial experience in a similar role.

This role is a Monday-Friday role and will be employed on a 4-month fixed term contract.
