External Sales /Business Development Manager/Sales Manager-Packaging Highly competitive salary, car provided and bonus structure Autonomous role Melbourne Metropolitan region About the Employer Our client is a successful family business and industry leader in the packaging industry. They have machinery which is more efficient than anything else on the market as well as all the necessary components required to offer the perfect packaging solution and superior load containment option to their customers. About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager/Sales Manager who has the drive to take their business to the next level. Your primary responsibility will be to build new business as well as look after key accounts. 1-2 days in the office and the rest is on the road. Key responsibilities will include: Build and maintain new business database with 90/10 split of new business to account management Acquire new key accounts Conduct regular client visits ensuring all clients are seen every 8-10 weeks Build a strong pipeline of prospects Write and follow up on quotes Achieve weekly KPIs Complete all necessary weekly progress reports Attend quarterly sales meetings in the Melbourne head office Develop and maintain good internal relationships Be available from 7.30am 5pm Monday - Friday To be successful for this role you must have the following: 2- 5+ years experience in a similar role Knowledge of logistics and warehousing industry preferred but not essential Drivers license Ability to work autonomously Be self-motivated and trustworthy and run it like its your own business Well presented, punctual and reliable Excellent communication skills Mature can do attitude This offer is a great opportunity to join a well-respected family owned business that offers security and career progression with a competitive remuneration package, car and bonus structure.
