As theevents coordinator for the Sydney Business Chamber you will be responsible for thedevelopment and management of a broad range of events to promote the Chambers membership by finding opportunities for members and non-members to engage in an event. Most of these events areheld in our superbly appointed, dedicated event space withfull commercial kitchen. Responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate the timely delivery of designated events as directed including sponsor liaison activities
  • Establish events within CRM and maintain Events Page on Chambers website
  • Sponsor liaison including corporate branding opportunities, event signage distribution of promotional material and ticketing
  • Set up venues forinternal and external events as appropriate, lectern, PA system, table plans, guest place cards and name badges
  • Liaise with external event contractors for venue bookings, catering requirements, AV and staging requirements
  • Assist in sourcing competitive event supplier quotes
  • Member liaison prior, during and post event including handlingnew member event enquiries
  • Identify with other SBC staff target market and source appropriate invitee lists
About you:
  • Demonstratedexperience coordinating formal business events and informal business events
  • Ability to comfortably liaise with high profile guests and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills - high attention to detail a must along with sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of a current functions package would be advantageous
  • Strong Word, Excel and Outlook competency required, Publisher a plus
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and you will definitely need to be a multitasking hero!
  • Be able to remain calm under pressure with the capacity to think laterally
