Condition Monitoring Technician

Programmed Skilled Workforce is a leading provider of managed workforce and training services.

We are currently recruiting for experienced and qualified Condition Monitoring Technicians to be based in the Pilbara region of WA on a 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

Our client is a global leader in the iron ore industry and is recognized for their innovation and development of world class infrastructure and mining assets. The Condition Monitoring Technical Officer is responsible for the site condition-monitoring program (rotating equipment) using a variety of predictive maintenance technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the execution and continuous improvement of the CM program using technologies such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, acoustic emissions, Non Destructive Testing.

About your new role:

Manage, implement and improve vibration, lubrication and thermography based predictive maintenance programs - including on-site data collection, analysis, and determination of recommendations for rotating equipment
Assist with RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance) and FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis)
Identify opportunities to improve client plant reliability, availability and/or performance, collaborating with clients to turn to their advantage
Provide support, mentoring and technical reviews for colleagues in the group in predictive and preventive maintenance practices
Execute maintenance strategies and programs for clients whilst seeking opportunities to improve them utilising the latest in data analytics techniques
Assist with investigations, providing technical input for equipment failures and troubleshooting projects: alignments, balancing, ODS and RCA
Contribute to a safe working environment
12hr shifts rotating day / night shift

About you and the previous experience you need for this role:

2+ years hands-on experience of managing and implementing predictive maintenance strategies, including vibration analysis, lubrication, thermography, alignment and balancing
Extensive experience in a Fixed Plant Condition Monitoring role
VCAT2 Certification
Level 1 Thermography
NDT Certification (DPI, MPI & UT)
MLA/MLT Certification (ICML
A high regard for, and practice of, safety and health at all times
Fully certified ISO VCAT2 - TCAT / LCAT certification highly regarded
Recent experience in the Mining or Utilities industries is highly desirable
Proficiency in the latest data analytics tools and techniques and a good working knowledge of a wide range of rotating / reciprocating equipment
Experienced user of CMMS systems (e.g. SAP, Maximo, JDE)

Must hold a current C Class Drivers License
