Communications Officer - Online
  • Permanent Full Time
  • Band 5 - $67,410 per annum plus superannuation
An opportunity exists in our Community Relations Department to develop and deliver clear, accurate and timely external online web and social media communications for Frankston City Council. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Administration of Councils corporate social media accounts including content development, proactive posting, responding and growing Councils online following.
  • Proactively managing Councils corporate website to ensure it provides accurate, timely, engaging and accessible information for the community, in line with Councils Communication Strategy.
  • Provide support to other members of the Communications team, as required, for publication management, email newsletters, website management, media management, brand management, photography, filming and other tasks as requested by the Coordinator Communications
You will have strong knowledge of social media platforms and how to best use them, outstanding writing and editing skills, experience in website management, accessibility and search engine optimisation and the ability to work alone or as part of a team. You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, certified copies of your qualifications, and a current Driver Licence. You must also be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration and undertake a National Police Record Check.
