Administration Officer - Rates
A local government authority, based in the Western suburbs has an opening for a competent administrator to assist them on a temporary basis within the Rates and Revenue department. This role is full time hours Monday to Friday for a period of 3 months. Prepare and distribute accurate rate notices in accordance with set time lines Respond to rates enquiries at Counter, telephone and email Identify outstanding rates and assist with recovery of monies due Process and reconcile rate and sundry debtor payments Assist with processing main maintaining NAR, acquisitions, dispositions, mailing address changes etc Preparation and checking of Land Information Certificates
To be successful in this role you will posses the following key requirements; Previous experience within a local government authority Rates and revenue experience is a MUST Demonstrated experience using Authority is essential Intermediate knowledge of the MS office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook Proven experience working in a busy environment Hard-working, punctual and organized Excellent written and analytical ability, in particular accurate spelling, alpha-numeric data entry and qualifying data. Work effectively and autonomously to specific deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
